Biography

 

Born in 1940 in Summit, New Jersey.

        Graduated from Summit High School in 1959.

Attended the Phildelphia College of Art, now the University of the Arts, in Philadelphia. Received a BS degree in Industrial Design in 1963.

 

Worked as an industrial designer speciallizing in ergonomics at the US Army Human Engineering Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland from 1962 through 1993.   Did research and development in the areas of helmet and body armor design as well as weapon systems - firearms, armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons and associated equipment.  

 

Continued to paint and sculpt, make furniture and jewelry while employed by the Department of Defense.  Exhibited in various venues while employed by the Department of the Army.
